Spotube for MAC
Free, open-source music streaming app that gets its music and playlists through plugins. No telemetry.
Spotube Overview
Spotube is a free, open-source music streaming app for Mac, Windows, Linux and Android. Instead of being tied to one service, it gets its music metadata, playlists and audio through plugins, made by its community or by you. It plays music natively, without being an Electron app, collects no telemetry or user data, and shows time-synced lyrics. Spotube is made by Kingkor Roy Tirtho and released under the BSD-4-Clause license.
On a Mac, Spotube comes as a single universal disk image for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. New versions usually arrive every three to four months; version 5.1 added support for more audio sources, including NewPipe on desktop, and uncompressed FLAC playback.
Key Features
Spotube is built around plugins, so you choose where your music comes from.
- Plugin powered: connect music services and audio sources through plugins.
- Community plugins: use plugins for popular platforms, or make your own.
- Time-synced lyrics: lyrics that follow the song, whatever the plugin.
- Private: no telemetry, diagnostics or user data collection.
- Native performance: a fast app with a small download.
- FLAC playback: play uncompressed FLAC audio where the source offers it.
- Queue tools: select several tracks in the queue and act on them at once.
- Cross-platform: the same app on Mac, Windows, Linux and Android.

Spotube 5.1.2 is a bug-fix release.
